The Business programs have a reputation for high quality and applicability to workplace needs. Teaching is focused on empowering students to learn through practical creative problem solving. All courses are designed to equip students with the lifelong learning and communication skills that help them excel in their chosen careers. In order to graduate, students are required to successfully complete a period of work placement in a UAE or international business organization which allows them to practice what they have learned.

The Business Programs at Dubai Men's College include a Diploma, Higher Diploma, and a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree enabling graduates to meet the professional requirements of a bilingual business environment. Students develop life-long learning skills leading to a variety of business and management careers in local and international organizations within the UAE.
The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree programs are accredited internationally by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) in the USA.
Business Work Experience: As part of their studies students are engaged in "Work Placement" for periods ranging from 1-2 months. Faculty supervisors visit the students during this period and provide a support base while checking on the students' progress with employers. At the conclusion of each work assignment the students write a report and give a presentation.
Diploma Program Work Placement: Placement is for eight weeks of the second year of the General Business program
Higher Diploma Program Work Placement: There are two separate placements in the Higher Diploma program. Four weeks at the end of the 3rd semester in year 2, and eight weeks at the beginning of the 6th semester in year 3.
Work placement students may come from the following specialized programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Travel and Tourism, Sports and Leisure, Financial Services and Banking, and E-Business Management.

Applied Business and Technology: The goal of the Applied Business Diploma and Technology Program is the development of previously acquired business skills so that graduates can apply their skills effectively in the workplace with a minimum of supervision. Graduates will have a sound working knowledge of general business activities. Their skills in English, computing and mathematics will allow them to perform meaningful and challenging business tasks in the workplace.
Business & Management (Accounting): The goal of the Accounting stream is to provide students with general business knowledge in addition to a specialized expertise in both financial and managerial accounting. Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to prepare, understand, use and investigate financial statements. The student will be able to organize financial data to produce special purpose reports and to assist users to make informed managerial decisions. The student will achieve a detailed working knowledge of the special accounting issues related to service, merchandising and manufacturing business concerns. The student will also develop practical skills necessary to use and understand an accounting software package.
Business & Management (HR): The Human Resources major provides the students with a solid grounding in the core areas of business combined with specialized knowledge in selected areas of human resources management. Upon completion of the program the students will be capable of functioning effectively in management or supervisory positions generally and within the human resources industry specifically.
Business & Management (Financial Services): The Financial Services and Banking stream has career-oriented courses that are grouped into various specialty areas. It offers an excellent opportunity to understand the general and advanced principles of financial services and products relating to the financial management of any organization. The program will combine knowledge of both local and international institutions. It integrates the study of various disciplines so that the student has an extensive knowledge about business in general and financial services in particular.
Business Administration (General): The General Business stream provides an introduction to all the other Higher Diploma business streams. It is useful for those, who have not decided what area of specialization they are looking for, or who would like to work at various areas of business.
E-Business Management: The E-Business Management is a vocational program benchmarked against EDEXCEL BTEC vocational qualification with a strong work related emphasis, which provides the students with the skills necessary to be a player in today's rapidly changing, technology driven business environment. This introduces the students to a wide range of business disciplines, including marketing, financial management, customer service, and human resource management, as well as generalist management skills such as planning, leadership, business communication, team working etc. Combined with assessment which features a strong emphasis on individual feedback, this creates a unique learning experience for each student.
