Welcome to Target
Make your own, personalized English independent work plan using Target.
- Fill in the box above, click on 'Proceed', then select Target English (general English), Target PET or Target IELTS, or All.
- You can select writing, reading etc. by using the ‘Filter by Main Focus’ option, or you can ‘search by keyword’ for a topic or language point.
- Choose worksheets that will help you, and ‘Add to Cart’, just like shopping online!
- View your choices at any time. When you are ready, print the Target WorkPlan. This shows all of the Target worksheets you chose.
- You will receive an email with all the Target worksheets attached. Print them and start work! Each worksheet is two pages, with the answers on the second page. Don’t cheat yourself – only check the answers after you finish.
- To hear the listening exercises, click on Target Listening Recordings. There are two speeds – slow and fast. You can choose.
- Fill in your Target WorkPlan . Write your score for each worksheet in the first box, and repeat the worksheet until you know it.

Notes for teachers:
To make a class work plan, simply omit the student name and ID#.
Put in your own email and you will receive the worksheet downloads,
so you can check if they suit your needs. You may also then choose
to copy them without answers (usually the whole second page), although
one of the ideas behind Target is to help students learn to correct
their own work, an important lifelong learning skill.
Alternatively, you can print a WorkPlan for all of Target English,
Target PET, Target IELTS or all three using the button at the top.
(In this case you will not receive the worksheets by email.)
